Print the trigger below to use with Look Again App
Look Again is an AR public art project, developed by Giovanna Casimiro, Ethan Vogt and supported by the Historic Boston Inc. in partnership with Ovni Studio. In celebration to the 300 anniversary of the Old Corner Bookstore, this app allows a time travel through 5 different decades of one of the oldest houses in Boston.
The AR intervention was created for the Festival Illuminus 2017 and was created in record time of 2 weeks and a half. In an intensive researching and creation process, my role was to be the project manager and tech lead. The collaboration with the developer Tiago Moraes and the Ovni Studio team form Brazil made the creation of this application precise and a very elegant solution to tell the history of the Old Corner Bookstore. |

The creation process started in the research of historic images, granted by Historic Boston Inc. and with the advisement of Jeffrey Gonyeau. Chosing 5 of the many decades of the Old Corner Bookstore, our team worked in the creation of the 3D images, the textures, the dynamic and functionalities of the app, the trigger designe, in two stages: 1 - studies in 2D (with the help of the designer Victor Sardenberg); 2 - development in 3D and implementation (with the support of Ovni Studios team and Frandy Suero as digital artist).
Look Again is in its 2.0 version, available in the Apple Store and Play Store, and for me, it means the beginning of many studies about the layers of time and dynamic of time travel on site, with mixed reality and augmented reality.
